Getting There & Transport
There is no direct flight from Germany; the usual route is a connection in Palermo or Catania (with a domestic flight on to Lampedusa, about 1 hr). By ferry from Porto Empedocle (near Agrigento): an overnight ferry with a stop in Linosa (about 8–10 hrs) or faster hydrofoils (about 4 hrs). On the island, a local bus runs from Piazza Brignone; alternatively, rent a car or scooter. Connections are highly seasonal – check in advance.
